Fairfield House website redesign

Fairfield House is an iconic heritage home with extensive grounds and gardens close to Nelson’s CBD. It’s a great space to hire for weddings, conferences, parties and many types of event. You’ll also regularly see music gigs, theatre and other performances there.

We helped Catherine and the team there redesign their website to modern standards. The old Fairfield House website was getting long in the tooth and wasn’t presenting the venue in it’s best light. We built a platform to promote the strengths of the venue, showcase photos and make it easy to find the information you are looking for. There are some delightful photos of the venue as it is often used for weddings and so we were able to use some excellent photography from various Nelson based wedding photographers. We also focused on building a mobile responsive site with a good foundation for search engine optimisation to increase the number of visits from people interested in the hire of the venue to the website.

We also took the time to redesign the structure of the site to better reflect the different types of venue hire and the informational needs of each of those target groups. We were also able to incorporate some lovely sitemaps designed by our friend Kirsten of Revell Design.

Fairfield House is run by a trust, Friends of Old Fairfield, and has a strong community focus. We’re delighted to be able to help them do their good work by supporting the project with discounted development, website management and hosting services.

Go and check out the new website and tell us what you think.
